To keep up with what AMG has done for performance, SiM chose all the top quality audio components to complement this already awesome car.

New wheels were added for a more unique look.

Most importantly this system had to rock with the top up as well as down.

Because of its nice look, fit and functionality we choose to keep the factory radio. We did add the Sirius tuner to it and concealed the satellite antenna under the cowling in the front.

An Alpine bass control knob was ergonomically integrated into one of the blank panels next to the shifter.

Here is the passenger foot well with the original carpet covering the sub. No leg room was sacrificed.

A custom sealed enclosure was constructed for a JL Audio 10W3V2 10” subwoofer. By placing the sub down here you get great bass even with the top down.

The original door speaker locations were modified and now are home to a set of Focal K2P Power 6.5” separates. The factory center channel and rear fill speakers were retained.

In the storage bin behind the driver seat, we found some space to mount the Focal cross-overs. A small cover was made to cover them.

A Zapco Reference 1000.4 Amplifier was neatly tucked into the trunk under the convertible top. This 4x150 Watt amp is the heart and soul of this system.

Don’t laugh, this is the factory subwoofer.

We designed and built our own version. The box was round to make use of every cubic inch of airspace, so we would not have to sacrifice any leg room.
