The factory system allows the user to watch DVD’s on the LCD screen, so no interfacing was needed here. To retrieve a usable audio signal from the factory amplifier we opted for the new Audio Control DQL-8. With its signal summing, re-equalization, AUX in and remote adjustable subwoofer out capabilities, it was the perfect solution. |

This was more complicated than it looks. The seat brackets hat to be cut and new reinforcements welded in so there was no structural compromise. Also the plastic covers were modified and recovered to fit snugly around the Xbox 360. |

Literally, the centerpiece of the install is a custom console made to hold three JL Audio 10W6V2 subwoofers. Steel brackets mount it directly to the middle row seat bolts. |

A combination of carpet and vinyl was used to cover the console for an OEM look. The Cadillac logo illuminates with a subtle blue glow. Notice the arm rest pad with a french stitch in it. No, it does not open; we needed all the air space we could get for the subwoofers. |

Once installed between the rear seats, it looks as if it belongs. The indentations on the sides allow the armrests to clear when the seats fold forward. ½” black Plexiglas was used to trim the coin tray and cup holder which illuminates as well. |
